This Cool Medics Cooling Blanket wraps around the front of the chest cooling your horse from the chest through the withers to the tail, bringing cooling relief while allowing you to do other things while taking care of your horse. The upper half of this Cool Medics Cooling Blanket is made of the cooling fabric, while the lower portion is durable nylon.

Prior to the introduction of our blanket, the only way to cool a horse down was to hose it down and/or walk it. The hosing is temporary, and the water evaporates rapidly. Also, hoses are not always readily available. Using the activated Cool Medics Cooling Blanket dramatically speeds up the lowering of the animals’ core temperature, while allowing the skin to breathe and keeping the horse dry. The implications of this are significant, not only for the casual rider who wants to improve the comfort of the horse, but particularly for competition horses where more rapid stabilization of core temperature gives the animal a more competitive edge due to quicker recovery from exertion.
